Default looking at a 2001--will I fit???????? please help

Looking at a one owner 2001 coupe with 42000 miles. The car is $17300 and has a super clean carfax. I'm 6'4 265lbs. There isn't one of these around for me to sit in but I did drive a 92 and found it tight in headroom. I have a 33" inseam. Will I fit in this car and will I be comfortable. It is a 6 speed which won't be a problem. please help, this is a retirement gift to myself, thanks in advance. David

The car is a coupe if that makes a difference, I not worried about the my weight, more about the height.

All I can say you will fit in a C 5 one heck of a lot easier than a C 4 !!!!!

I'm 6'4, about 220lbs. I own two 6-speed C5 coupes, a 98 and a 02 and I fit just fine in both.
Go for it

No one here can tell you if you will fit... I'm retired... I understand your concern, you are pushing the limits of comfort with your size.. It would not be in your best interest to believe any one here, even someone 6' 4' and 265 lbs, because body shapes vary even within a 6'4" body that's 265 lbs. There are a quarter million C5 Corvettes out there, there are Corvette clubs everywhere.. you should not spend 18,000 dollars on a car that someone here says you will be comfortable.

Where are you? You can sit in mine.

Seriously there's got to be a Corvette for sale nearby that you could at least sit in, if not test drive. Only you will know if your comfortable.

My son, who's 6-3 and about 240 drove mine without a problem but said if he had taken more time to adjust seat and wheel position he would have been more comfortable.

One other thought.. to some, comfort is being wrapped tightly within their seat and is a plus.. to others its an uncomfortable position to try to tolerate. .

6'3" 190 and I fit just fine length wise. I can fully extend my legs out.

I am 6'3" 255 and fit just fine. I find that the clear roof gives an extra inch or so of headroom because it has no insulation.

Test drive one before you buy. That is the only way you will know if you fit or have trouble getting in and out.

Thanks guys, to close out this thread, I did find one about 20 miles away---way to much money for me 28900 for an 02 with 10000 miles, loads bigger than a C4. Looking forward to making lots of new friends on this forum. I bought the 01 and i'm sure I'll be happy, thanks again. David

Evil-Twin is correct. Search one out BEFORE springing for the car. Better to have tried it first!!!
I was going by my own experience !!!!!!!!

Excellent advice. Even if you have to travel a bit to get a chance to test drive/sit in a C5, that's what I would do to ensure you are comfortable with the car.

Oh no, no one told you the 01 is much smaller than the 02 you tested out
