Hi everyone,
I just bought a 2000 and am now on the hunt for reasonably priced maintenance manuals. I found new manuals for a 2000 that cost $300 , I also found a full set of books for a 1998 for $150. My question is, if I bought the manuals for the 1998 c5, would I be able to appropriately fix most issues or are there too many difference between the two years?

There are a few differences, especially if you have a HUD or AH (came on some '98s mid way through the model year and not sure the all the manuals out there would have the info in them) in your '00. My preference has always been to buy the manual specifically for the car I have.
I've been looking for a 2000 manual as well. For some reason, this particular year manual seems to be more expensive and less easy to find than others.

If they work for you, that's great. I didn't say he had to go out and spend $300 for a set - they do come up in the parts for sale section every now and then and if he's patient or posts a wanted to buy thread, he just might get a set for the '00.
