If Corvette were to make a throwback model (kinda' like Ford did with the Mustang) what years would you throwback to?
I think 62 front end and C-5 Rear end. 62 gauges maybe somewhat modified with to date interior. How bout' you?
This is close, but the front end looks too truck-ish in comparison to today's Corvette. They need to work the lines down in the front and it would work better with the windshield.
They need to take the essence of the 63-67 and graft it into today's technology, not cut and paste.
To me throw back styling is kinda a cop out, I hope the corvette never goes that way.
No offense intended to anyone who has a car with this sort of styling. JMHO
I agree. No thanks to a throwback. Keep the Corvette moving forward and relevent. Those C1 look-a-like ones they have out there now are the ugliest damn things I've seen.
I can see doing it as an option to getting one with body damage fixed, but not as a direction for the factory, this one would be nice as a "one of a kind", the angles go together and the car flows, but the c1 with a c5 windshield just doesn't go, too much angle IMO.

IDK....I was always an old dodge fan, so when they re-released the challenger, I was tempted. Especially since I owned a 71, and the first iteration was a modernized 71.
I also really liked to 69 charger. The first concept pics came out about the same time I started thinking about C5s, and with the performance spec they were citing, had the new charger looked like the 69 instead of what they did to it, I might have gone there instead of the C5.
Difference being those nameplates had gone away - not so with the corvette.
