No you dont. Either acess the 2 bolts and spring from the panels below the bumper or the can be removed with the headlights out. The acess panels are probably the easiest way, but I changed mine out when I replaced the headlights.

Sorry for the technical hiccups.
See what has happened is the previous owner siliconed around the driver side drl lens, well it filled with water and blew the bulb and destroyed the socket so Im going to have to solder in a new socket and while im at it im going ahead and installing cleared lens. So pretty much I just need enough room to pull the socket out enough to cut it then solder in the new socket.
