Just picked up a very nice 2002 C5 in Electron Blue. Fairly low miles (75k) and in excellent condition.
I'm probably missing the obvious, but the glove box code for the car is showing what appears to be a 3.42 rearend...but I know that cannot be correct since it's an automatic car.

That RPO sticker also shows it is a manual tranny car (MN6) and the 3.42 rear gear ratio (GU6). Is the VIN shown on the sticker the same as on the windshield tag? If so, something very strange is going on. Perhaps the previous owner converted the car from a manual to an automatic?
If it were a factory automatic, it would have an RPO of GU2 (2.73) or G90/G92 (3.15/Performance Ratio Rear Axle).
After I posted, saw that you solved the mystery.
