Been putting it off since last year but now it's all done and looks great. I went with 20% all the way around. <br >

Really? Sounds like those shops don't know what they are doing, I would probably avoid them for any tinting if they can't do a Corvette rear window...

Looks good with the tint, just hope the 20% on the side windows is not something that an LEO will stop you for.

I know the feeling. Three separate shops told me the c5 rear window was one of the hardest to do. Not because of the shape but because of the dot matrix on the top of the window. I had a guy that did it for 1\3 of the price. Shops around here were quoting me 350-400 because of the rear window. Most were trying to sell me on tinting 3\4 of the rear window and doing black vinyl across the top to cover the dots. They are notorious for a ton of bubbles around the dots. My guy had all three done including having to heat shrink all the tint before applying in an hour and it's flawless.

They crack down pretty hard on that around here and rightfully so. Just about every vehicle I get behind is all over the road and when I roll up next to them they are texting. 99% of the time my windows are down due to long tubes and terrible drone.

I did the black vinyl with 5% on the window, from the outside you can't tell at all, and it barely affects my view out the rear.

Had the same situation here.. was getting quoted anywhere from 3 to $400 just for the rear window. Lol had a buddy who owns a tinting shop do limo for $150. It is a two piece and came out awesome, hell the matrix part stuck too.

The tint looks great. What I don't understand with the tint laws is, you see Cadillacs and some higher end vehicles with factory tint almost black, those are ok to have but I get punished for aftermarket tint. Don't make sense to me. Love my tint tho.

Most tint laws only apply to the windshield and front door windows. All the others you can make as dark as you like.
