Default Underside of "Hatch Deck"

How do I make the underside of my "Hatch Deck" look as good as the rest of the car? I'm talking about on a coupe. My underneath side is painted a low gloss black and it has what appears to be a few water stains. I have tried to gently remove the streaks but too much pressure and I am afraid I will make the area too shiny. What is a good product to use for this area?

Don't know for sure, but I've read that you have to be very careful with this finish. It's easily damaged. I use a damp cloth as the only cleaning method.

Also do this and immediately wipe it off with a dry rag.

I've had the same issue and use automotive products that renew the black plastic surround that are typically used on the exterior. They work.

I would give something like Chadwick's a try and let it sit for a minute. Might also try white vinegar on the water spots if that does not work?

The dealership replaced my hatch under warranty and when they painted it, they did both sides in gloss black, so I don't have that issue.

you might want to try a bit of WD-40. It cleans really well.

If all else fails, have it re-painted. It's hard to keep the factory finish looking good over the years.

Thanks for all the ideas and cleaning tips. I am going to start with the soap and water and work myself up to something more aggressive. I have even thought about some kind of custom paintwork.
