My 97 finally needs a compressor. My trusted mechanic showed me the dye leaking out of the casing using a black light. Started doing some searching and it seems that AC delco or delphi is the suggested brand but was curious if anyone has used the four seasons compressor. Almost a $300 difference here in Canada. Any input is welcome.

Four Seasons company has been around for a very very long time in HVAC repair parts business.
In another life I worked in the AP business for over 15 years and I never had any QC problems with that particular brand. Personally I prefer new, but if I had to go with a reman unit, they would be one of the brand names I would consider.
Let us know how the install goes. Mine is in the same condition, but for now I just add a little freon at the beginning of each season and call it good.
Turns out its $100 cheaper and has a longer warranty compared to the Delphi unit so I think I've made my decision.
I know this is old thread but wanted to ask how the Four Seasons compressor worked in your C5 corvette. I can't get a GM or Denso model anywhere and am thinking about Four Seasons. Curious if you or anyone else had good experience with those. Let me know please as I need to make a move soon.
