Default The thing that annoys me most about the C5

I absolutely love my car, but nothing is perfect. There is one thing that really bugs me every time I drive the car. It's when I look in the rear view mirror, and right in the middle of my field of vision is that damn pigtail hanging down.

Has anyone come up with a solution for getting that eyesore out of the way?

Anyone have another pet peeve?

Pigtail? I can't think of any pigtail. Something on coupes only?
Pet peeve? The attention it draws from my loser FIL. Regularly tells my wife how it's unsuitable for people with 2 young children.
Pet peeve about the car itself, after a bit over 2 years... none that I can think of thankfully.

Wire connecting to the AM antenna in the hatch glass.

Does not bother me, but then I painted the dot matrix pattern at the top of the back window solid black prior to having the rest of it tinted.

Now the front air dam scraping!!!

Cheap interior - most of the "attachment gizmos" that hold things onto the dash are broken in some manner...

The Cheap interior was what bothered me most, its like Jekyll and Hyde, the exterior so smooth and well designed, and then the interior....... looks like a 5 year old kid slapped it together while on prescription meds

The interior is definitely the biggest issue for me that and I wish the transmission was smoother.

I can't begin to comprehend any of these 'annoyances' you speak of.
Coupe here, and no pigtail.
Scraping in an out of my driveway all the time, I LOVE IT.
Interior is GREAT in my book.
Of course, I've had mine apart so many times, I've got it NAILED.
NO RATTLES, No noises, NADA!

Crappy shifter, loud runflats, weak clutch hydraulics, luckily those can be fixed pretty quickly!

Never noticed a pigtail and don't think it's a problem. There aren't any perfect cars but this one is damned close!

Any tips on getting the squeaks to stop? I've got some coming from my dash.

Never noticed it - -- I suppose you could take it off if it bothers you.

Life is a series of compromises . . . .

My pet peeve is tire noise. They really did an incredibly poor job of noise insulation. If you have the volume up enough to hear the quiet parts of a piece of music, you get your ear drums blown out when the music gets loud.

I do like the all black interior on mine - no distracting chrome "trim" and such. My only interior issue is the seats. They are definitely poor. In fact, the family Subaru has better seats.

Never liked the wagon wheels much - they are gone now, and the gear shift was vastly improved by shortening the stock lever and threading it for a new shift ****. Oh, and do not believe the Chevy line that the MN6 trans fluid is for life. Changing it made a huge difference to shifting - nothing special just used regular Dex-Merc (old spec Dex III).

If I drove it a lot at night, I would go HID, but usually we are in the Subie, which has excellent lighting. Oh, and the OEM back up lights are pretty useless in the dark - an Adjure, uprated bulbs and adjusting the angle so the light is not pointed up in the air solved that.

Its funny to me that people complain about tire noise in a sports car.
