I purchased a ported throttle body from a forum member and just installed it. I haven't tried driving the car, just started it to check for leaks, and make sure it idles, etc.
When you first start the car, the rpms will shoot up to a little over 2000 then settle down to normal (in the 800's) and will idle essentially fine. When the fan kicks on or off, it will repeat that process once again.
Is this something the car will eventually "learn" and self correct, or something that can be corrected in the tune? I am going to be having 06 Monte of Diablosport do a tune for me, but that is remote and he won't be able to physically be with the car...I don't want to have to get a $500 dyno tune for a ported throttle body
Edit: Received the throttle body today, and Lingenfelter did an absolutely amazing job on it. I have removed my previous post that I made out of frustration because I had been without my car for 2 weeks, but their work was fantastic, I installed it, car idled perfect. I haven't taken it out for a drive yet because it's like 100 degrees out, but I have no reason to believe I'll have the same issues as before.

Anyone else face this issue and get a solution?
Mine does the same thing but only when you first start it. Mine is also not ported, it is a tpis TB.
