ECS is just GREAT

I had a new car! I cannot believe how he changed the driving experience. Like I said a few years ago when he did my Z06, there is nothing you can ask of this engine that it will not do! Unbelievable.
I picked up lunch a little further down but had to pass the shop to go home. I usually don't stop anywhere, but I had to. I went in, told Doug how great the car was and what a pro he is.

I cannot recommend his work any higher.

Can you educate me on what exactly is a tune, how it affects the car, how much does it cost? I've never done a tune. My car is a stock Z06 2003. Was your car stock?

Thanks Charlie! Always a pleasure having great customers!!

Your car is hooked up to a computer thru a bunch of umbilical cords.

Which then hook up to Doug's laptop. Since he does this constantly, a program reviews just about every function the car has. This however is the good part. Since every used car is different, each one has optimal settings for it to run its VERY best. Doug figures that out using the curves, parameters and other neat math terms. He then adjusts the settings that will make the car run its best for that car, and according to your input on driving style, competition types you may participate in, etc. My current c5 had a 'bog down' from about 1200-1800 rpm. It's totally gone. Light throttle response is jack rabbit like, which is what I like.
I had an '02 Z06, so I can relate to you. After Doug tuned it, it was a different car, more power, better response. Referring to a line in my first post, the engine just does whatever you want.
Cost is $395 for a street tune, he also found carbon build up/detonation, so he did a Seafoam direct treatment. We let it sit for 45 minutes, and it was fixed. Of course he took the car back out on the street and rechecked everything.
Hope this helps!

I can do a start up tune file for those mods, but there are just too many variables to send a "race ready" tune file without data logging. Good luck with your mods!

Detailed explanation! Your car is a great example of why data logging is the best option when available, a mail order type tune would not have been able to detect the carbon build up.
