Default C5 console emblem....

I have seen several C5's that have the Corvette emblem on the back part of the console, like the convertible waterfalls have..... are these a special made emblem or are they just getting like the rear emblem and slapping on there?

TIA,
DeL

Most of them are just a regular emblem. They are flexible enough for the curve of the console to make it work.

Order or use the rear emblem, the front one has two post that have to be cut off. Both are flexible plastic.

Prior owner of my NB coupe I guess put an emblem on the rear portion of the console. Interior is all black. Dimensionally indeed it appears to be a OEM-style rear emblem or possibly a waterfall emblem repurposed. There's not as much curvature there as you would think unlike the convertible's waterfall and so the emblem doesn't need much bending to adhere. My car lives in the South in a non-climate controlled garage and so gets fairly hot. I haven't had issues with the adhesive goo'ing up or separating from the emblem.

with both of the above posts. If you do this, I would recommend you remove the rear portion of the console from the car to ensure you get the emblem on straight. Instructions for removing the console can be found at www.vetteessentials.com.
