Default C5 body work

I bought my '98 cheap. And as you all know, cheap always means expensive. My vette has some "extreme" body damage and I'm not sure how or where to get it fixed. The previous owner backed into a barbed wire fence and screwed up the tail end pretty bad. The body is scratched, the hatch window is scratched. It's banged up for sure. The car was also hit in the side. Minor collision but the fiberglass collapsed. Some dude "fixed" the hole with what seems to be bondo. And he mismatches the paint. I live
in the dfw area so if any nearby owners have done body work before, it'd be great to know the best place to have it done.

These are just some of the scratches. Price quota/best place to get it done/info is welcome.

Thanks.

Really not hard stuff, but if you want to fix your car right, you're looking at a whole car repaint. You just can't fix that much and blend it. It could be done, but it would always be noticeable, especially under the sun. Independent, reputable shops out here would be at $3000-$3500 to fix, paint, clear and color sand the outside of the car, same color, no sills or compartments... where it would look close to stock. A premium paint job on a Corvette can approach $5000 EASY. JMHO.

I agree looks like a complete repaint would be needed to fix that right. Hard to say what that would cost you since prices for labor can vary widely by location and shop.

I'd recommend you get in touch with any local Corvette clubs in your area and get some suggestions on which body shops do a great job. Go from there as to getting a quote.
