Default Is Cryogenic processing worth the $?

Hello everyone!Im thinking about buying an RPM diff.I have two questions
1- Is cryogenic processing worth the money?
2- What gear would you run for a 500 rwhp 500 rwtq C5Z?
I will be Autocrossing,Road course racing, street driving and a little drag racing.

I dont hear of that many people breaking the actual gear set in c5z's much, seems that the housing, trans output shaft or half shafts are more likely to fail first. If you are primarily road racing why would you change from 3.42's? Seems with all that power your making you would be fine to stay with them. Plus, the factory 3.42's were shot peened for added strength anyway.

Jeremy at RPM recommended 3.90's.3.42's are great but if there is an improvement with a gear change then why not try it i figure.Ive only ever had 3.42's so i dont know if one is better then the other
Im not even sure whats wrong inside other than some shiny shratnel in the oil and clunking and catching sensation like its binding up when i turn

Going to 3:90's is fine for drag racing, but they would be terrible for autocross.

With the 3:42's you end up "kissing" the rev limiter in second, but seldom do you need third gear. If you drop down to the shorter gear you're going to be caught between second and third in several places on lots of courses. Yes, you'll come off of corners with more grunt, but the reality is that you can't plant the pedal coming off of corners with the 3:42 in second without the back end stepping out anyway. Shorter gears would be a waste since you won't go any faster since you'll still be feathering the throttle, and you'll be shifting a lot more, and I'm assuming that you'd be running DOT slicks like Hoosiers. If you're running 200 TW tires you most certainly don't want or need a shorter set of gears.

Put your time and money into setup and handling and seat time and don't bother with the engine or gears for autocross.

If autocross and HPDEs will be your primary focus, 3.42s will be the best fit.
