I just saw a chip on my hood!! I am just pissed off!! I have a bra on the front to stop just this thing!! Car is 5 months old and is black, chip is less than a 1/2 dime in size. Does the whole hood have to be redone?? Or can they just fix the spot? It is not deep just enough to take the paint off and get down to the fiber. About how much to fix??? Need info, Thanks :mad :mad :mad :mad
Sorry about your chip. Some of the detail artists can fill it in to where it is bearly visable. I'd try that first.
What kind of bra do you have? I'm looking for one and need some advise on what brand fits the best.
Go to a reliable "chip doctor" in your area and have them take a look.

If you are mechanically inclined and like fiddlin' with your car yourself, there are great tips for fixing chips on CarCareOnline Sounds like your chip may be too big though :(
I feel your pain! We just had two Z06's (2002 and 2003 Electron Blues) take damage on the way to Carlisle. There is a good detail guy on Rte. 109 in Lindenhurst (TOTAL RECON). He uses the Mr. Chips system and will be doing the two Z06's.
Thank all for the info given , now that I look at the chip it is less than I thought ( the Horror got to me!!) the bra I have is a car craft , it fits well and have taken some speed with it and it was fine, it just does not cover that high on the hood and that is what I liked about it not a 2 piece(they do not look good ) I will check that place on Rte 109 and have them fix it it is not that bad at all. :chevy
Hey rickvette called that place on 109 and they told me they do not do anything special on chip repairs?? They just touch up with paint like anyone else?? I talked to some girl down there , is there someone who knows what he is talking about down there that I should speak to?? Thanks again
Rachel what is the process for using that chip repair?? It is a bottle and does not make it sound too hard?? Is there something I should look for to make it simple??
Thanks
