Hi -
I have a key fob for my 2000 Vette (bought used) which isn't working and I want to replace the battery. The one that's in it is a CR2450N. Some posts say it should be a CR2450. (They ARE slightly different).
Can someone please verify which battery is correct.
Thanks very much.
If it currently has CR2450N but the owners manual specifies CR2450 then it's safe to say you can use either one. I tried googling and the most I could come up with is "there is a difference, I just don't know what".
Good find. So the dimensions are slightly different but they're both 3v Lithium batteries. The description for the cr2450n states: "This CR2450N Lithium Coin Cell Battery is 3 volt. These cells have a special groove on the negative side of the battery that is required for certain devices." so it looks like the groove is the biggest difference which shouldn't really matter in the fob I don't imagine.
