cd changer

2002 c5. what are my multi disc cd changer options? can i get a replacement that will hook up to the factory harness? or does anyone sell repaired units.

Although they dont sound quite as good as cd's (not cmpressed) you can get an adapter to go in through that input to play an ipod/mp3 device. I have one and unless you are doing a direct comparison it is hard to tell its not a cd and the music is easily accessed with menus and lots more of it.

There are usually several for sale on the famous auction site, but your taking your chances with those. Check the 4 sale section on the forum and also give Dennis at Double D mods(forum vendor) a call. I picked up a replacement from him a couple of years ago. http://www.doubledmods.com/

You could also check with the used parts vendors here on the forum and see what they may have in terms of a stock unit.

I second Dr. Don's. He can fix your unit. He will also give you some insight on how to remount and avoid future trouble.

He fixed the one in my '03. I'm old school and don't do any music streaming and I have a nice collection of CDs. Also lots of vinyl, like I said old school. Rock On.
