Looking to change out the wheels on my 2004 convertible....have cruised the web....looking for anyone who has purchased a new set of wheels and who they used....thanks.
Everyone on here seems to have used a different supplier - including the for sale forums here. I went to Tire Rack and bought wheels, with new tires mounted and new TPMS sensors installed, as a package. They FedEx them to you - you change the wheels and reset the TPMS sensors (which seem to last 10 years +/-, BTW) and you are done.
I have bought three sets from them and was very happy.
That said, there is one wheel supplier who is a sponsor on this forum that disappointed me. A couple of years ago I bought some wheels for a BMW and trusted them to get the offset right, but they didn't. I ended up using spacers and that's never the way to go. Should have sent them back, but sucked it up.
Good luck with whatever you buy. Wheels are the one upgrade that do the most to set your car apart from the other vettes on the road.
If you go the used route beware when purchasing 3 piece wheels. I bought a set over the winter, one was leaking air when I mounted them. Had to send back to manufacturer twice. Still waiting on resolution.

Got my Interlagos at discounttiredirect.com Price was crazy lower than what I was being quoted by forum vendors. Came mounted balanced all free at the time plus internet discounts ect. Not a huge selection but stock TSW and Cray wheels which I was looking for.
These are an inexpensive way to go if you do not plan on tracking your car. They are probably a bit heavier than most good aftermarket wheels out there, but for the price , you cant beat it. Around $1200 for all four wheels shipped to your house free of charge. You would still need to get tires though. These are called SR1's and are made by west coast corvettes but I bought mine through Florida Speed Shop on ebay. Hav'nt had any problems in two years yet. They come in many finishes, chrome, black, black-chrome, silver and grey I think. They come with all new lugs too.

what is your budget?... people often leave this out of the equation and you will get some recommending a $500 set and others 3 grand or more... if we know how much you are willing to spend that could narrow it down instead of getting answers all over the place

I have 18 19 SR1 chrome Bullet wheels that are like brand new that I'm interested in selling. Mine have domed C5 logo decals on center caps instead of SR1 decals.
Doug1746, I went with TSW's, they have been a great purchase. I liked the style and got them thru a forum vendor DD Mods - Dennis.
From memory they were about $1100 plus tires, that was 3 years ago.

Those are the same wheels I have, they look great on your car.
I have the Ruff 954's, and Nurburgrings. I just swap 'em out every few months, for a different look.
Speed Depot, a forum vendor, sold me both sets with tires mounted and balanced. Good company to deal with, Alex (at Speed Depot) treated me well, both times.
