There are two different "Performance Axle Ratio" options which are determined by what transmission the car has (automatic or manual, which are slightly different). Typically the stock axle ratio RPO will be listed along with the performance axle ratio RPO.
"Performance Handling Package" honestly is pretty self-explanatory; it's the famous Z51 Corvette handling package (drawing off the Z51 RPO code) which equipped the car with suspension settings and parts with an emphasis on cornering.

Performance axle = 3.15 gearing (as opposed t0 2.73)
Performance handling I would expect is "Z51" package (stiffer springs and sways).

The axle ratios were simple:
Manual trans - 3.42 - no other option.
Auto trans - 2.73 standard, optional 3.15 "performance axle".
Then there were two optional ride/handling packages - Z51 (the performance handling package), with different shocks, plus stiffer all round suspension, and the F45 which used standard springs/sway bars but included selective damping, 3 settings which ranged from softer than base shocks to stiffer than base shocks.

If you have an automatic tranny, the perf gears are 3.15. The only gears available on the manual tranny cars is the 3.42s.
