Hello! Congrats on your new to you C5. Looks like a very nice car! I'm 66 and heading for older with any luck. Like you, I've owned a passel of performance cars in my life, and a few that were a huge mistake in letting go, hind sight really is 20/20! You are really going to enjoy your C5, wonderful cars. If you haven't already done it, read the stickies at the top of this page for a ton of great information for the new C5 owner. Good luck with your new baby and best wishes!

Hi Bob, where are you located? I have a set of polished aluminium wheels of that design. Stock wheels. They shine and look just like chrome. They need to be refinished to make them like new. I want to sell them but know I can't get much for them. Not sure how much to ship them. But if you are interested in talking let me know.

[QUOTE=SS454bob;1592403213]Hi Guys, I'm old! Will be 75 on my next birthday! My last Vette was a 1964 Stingray Roadster that I bought in the early 70's. Couple of week ago I bought a really clean Silver 2004 coupe, standard engine/auto that is non modified and has 45,000 miles on it. (I'll post pictures when I figure out how to do that here)
In the meantime I'm looking for suggestions on replacing the stock wheels with a chrome wheels that have a similar configuration. Any suggestions? and where should I look to buy them?
Always been a Chevy guy and owned a 70 Chevelle SS454/LS-6 for about 18 years (hence my Moniker here)

Thanks......Bob[/QUOTE

Hey Bob, I love your youthful passion, I'm not quite as old as you, 56, but I think I know what your looking for a chrome wheel similar to the original
5 spoke design. When i picked my wheel I specifically wanted to stay in the "corvette family" I chose the Grand Sport replica from the 2010 GS. I've had about 5 years now, still love them and are really easy to clean up, unlike other more detailed model wheels. Hope you like them, if not, my feelings won't be hurt. Oh and the pic was in Yellowstone. Make sure and take your car out and enjoy our beautiful country. They are great comfortable , fun cars. My wife and I have done 2 - 4000 mi road trips now. Looking forward to 3rd with 120k on the clock now. Enjoy

Sharp vette! Chrome wheels would look nice....but please make sure to keep your stock rims as they are valuable and you don't see them around to often. Good luck.

One other thing you might consider is a different brake pad that produces less dust. Nice clean car by the way.

That is just... awesome Bob! from the pics it looks like you have the RPO code FE1 suspension, it's way to soft and the C6 Z06 shocks are a fantastic upgrade, just bolt right on Congrats and have a blast................................... ........................................ ...........

Congrats Bob, I'm 68, and our cars are brothers! I have a black interior tho'. My polished thin spokes are gone because the 2 rears had irreparable cracks in them. I now have C7Z06 replicas from PFYC (Parts For Your Car). Cost was $995 shipped. I bought from JT MELTON, a real nice guy. I highly recommend the vendor and JT as well.

Congrats Bob. 75 is not too old to enjoy a Vette. Have fun and be careful.
