Affected 2004 Corvettes are VIN #'s 45600796 through 45602844!
There's a couple related tech articles / service bulletins out there regarding this issue:

6'4' here. The cars I found to have the most headroom are 2001-2002 coupe. Possibly older models also. I sat in and drove 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004 coupe, a 2002 and 2003 Z06 FRC, The 2001 and 2002 coupe has the most headroom. Do a search on Corvette forum. Not sure about Verts.

That's 6k miles a year. I would not consider that high-mileage. but a low mile daily driven (possibly) car.

6'8".... Have you tried getting in and out of one, and then driving one for some distance? I am 6'4" and fit well in my Vert..... I really don't drive it with the top up though....

If you want a driver find one that has been driven moderately and an owner that has service records. If you want a garage queen by a low mileage pristine one.

I recently drove a 2004 vert was easy to get in and out of because i'm so young. As far as the head room it was close, but something I'd deal with to be driving my dream car.
