[Z06] Mysterious part?

Mysterious part?

Just purchased a 2nd Z16 about a month ago and noticed this item under the hood. Its on both sides (passenger/drivers) near the air filter housing. I am referring to the light colored item pictured.

ANYONE? Please step outside...raise the hood and peer down inside near the air filter housing to see if I'm the lucky one who has these items mounted...😄😄

Say bro, I have an 03, and also have the same part on both sides. One of the smart guys on here will chime in on what it actually is, but it look like an anode to me.

Thanks azvrod.....!! That item just stood out to me for some reason..lol. And I've owned in the past, a '99, 02Z, & 2-Z16's..😳. Not sure why now those 2 parts seemed strange... Must be 'old age' kickin' in😄
