Have seen maybe a couple of people post pics of the stick on lettering for the tires here on the forum. Have not seen any on Vettes around here. May not be everyone's cup of tea, but so are a lot of the mods people do to their cars.
Good morning! Late 60's into 70's, white lettered tires were nearly mandatory, or so it seemed. Being one of the resident geezers I remember it well and was pretty much happy to see it go the way of the dodo bird. But, as they say, if you wait long enough, fashion trends come back around. I just like the cleaner look without it. Everyone have a good day!

Yep, they were the feshizzle back then (and thankfully, feshizzle wasn't the feshizzle )
White-lettered tires went out with the C3s - when there was sufficient sidewall height to accommodate them. Low profile tires just don't have the real estate to make them look good and readable, IMHO.
Styles change - back then black wheels were unheard of, unless you were running a spare.
When I first bought mine I had to take it to DMV. I was in line and heard yelling and looked over and the same care was next to me. I was thinking what are the odds.
