Default HVAC panel

Please advise if you can drive the 2001 Corvette with the HVAC comfort control panel removed. My panel is broken and needs to be repaired but still need to use the car.
Thanks

Shouldn't be a problem, I drove mine last week without the HVAC Controller. A DTC will be generated (No Communication), but you can clear it when you reinstall the controller.
