Default Air Box Lid Question

The lid is on

I have a 98 stock air box. I wanted to put on a 02-04 Z06 lid only. My question is are the straps different on my 98 lid as compared to the Z06 lid or do I need to get the straps for the Z06 lid. My straps won't attach to the bottom of Z06 lid. Any help would be appreciated. I did try a search and nothing came up for my situation.

Straps are the same. All you need is the lid.

I ran a Z06 lid on my '00 for a while and it fits just right with the stock retaining straps.

Just zip tie the filter over the air cleaner super simple and cheap.

Well I got it figured out. When I took the assembly off the straps were all ready off. I thought they attached to the lid....but they actually attached to the base not the lid at all. So it is installed and I thank you guys who responded I do appreciate it.

Interesting thread and still relevant since it never hurts to learn too much about the C5.

If done on a stock 99 vert, what would the benefit be? More air flow equals what exactly?
Would the computer automatically readjust for more air flow or would a relearn be required?
Just trying to learn more.
