Default Standing by your shop

Whenever someone ask, who do you take your car to? For mechanical I answer Frank's Vettes in Spring,Tx, and their are a several reasons. Foremost he's honest ( want sell you what you don't need ), he's fast at getting the job done, and very reasonable in his pricing. But what I like the most, he stands behind his work. This weekend, my rear end started smoking, went by first thing this morning. Dropped the tranny pan,put in new filter and gasket in, didn't fix the whole problem. Found two screws not tightening all the way and tightened up the torque tube too while in there. I mentioned that didn't we just do this less than a year ago? He couldn't remember but checked his records and found that we did. NO CHARGE for the work performed today and he got it taken care of today too, since this is my daily. GREAT JOB and SHOUT out to Frank's Vettes, L8R ZFLASH

A few years ago I used Frank for some work. Good man and honest.

Always good when you find a shop you can trust with your car. Sounds like Frank is a real stand up guy and warranties his work.

For me, it is actually the Chevy dealer that I have bought many of my cars from. They treat me right, always fix the problem the first time, and charge a very reasonable price. And it's a good thing they do good work as there are no other Corvette specialty places around here.

Glad they took care of you! I've never heard anything bad about them, unlike many other shops around here.

I'm still searching for the Grail of shops as well. I got vette experts (dealer) and it's 125.00 to do/look/ask for anything. Found another dealer-much better pricing but suddenly went on the "OEM Only" band wagon. case in point- I wanted to switch out front brake pads as they are dust factories. Figured maybe Hawk ceramics at 60 bucks is a good choice. Oh no! dealer will only install OEM and quoted 230 bucks for pads! Heck I can do the whole axel including rotors for that!. Anyway, I'll find a good shop soon enough. You guys are lucky to have a good local shop you can trust.....

Is there a forum list of good shops by area? If not, there should be.

Been to franks vettes twice, once for a harmonic balancer and one for ignition switch/cylinder. Both times he did extra work without extra charge. His hourly labor price is more than fair. If I cant fix it myself or dont have time, the vette will always go there!

I don't really trust hear-say all that much, pretty much everybody says "My guy is the best"

When you get dozens or hundreds of positive reviews then of course that's when it becomes something worth noting

As for me, I do have 1 trustworthy mechanic, and he is very capable as well, but I try to use him only when really necessary because he is very busy and always has a long line up of cars ahead of me.

Yes because if your shop screws you over the first time it's D-I-V-O-R-C-E
