Home made shift boot?
Anyone ever tried it? or if anyone has do you have a template lol, did the c6z shifter swap with a delrin shifter and did the stock c5 boot mod but after 12 years the "leather" is cracked and well its old. Have some left over suede from my Jetta days just don't know if its worth the hassle.

No, never tried to make my own interior pieces - I just bought stuff pre-made. I do not have the materials, equipment or talent to do the work.
Shouldn't be hard to cut the material to shape - just take a stock shift boot apart, cut the new material to shape and then sew it together. Whether or not it is worth doing it that way compared to just buying something already done is up to you.
