My insurance adjuster says the Vette is repairable without seeing the car or any pictures. Is there anything I should be highly concerned about with front end damage like this? With the Vette being a specialty car (in my opinion) I want to be somewhat prepared when I take it to get looked at. Any pro tips at all would be greatly appreciated.
I wasn't moving too fast when I hit the truck; the airbags didn't deploy. I swerved to the right lane so my whole front end didn't end up under his bumper.
Also, if anyone is local to Tucson and has a highly recommended or trusted shop, please PM me.
Sorry about your misfortune. I am not a body man but looking at the pic it looks only like superficial damage (no structural damage) but with all hits to a Corvette a thorough check over is necessary. (being a high performance car capable of high speeds) Good luck.

Sorry to see that kind of damage to your car. At least you weren't hurt. The only thing I would be worried about is if any of the wheel well liner was damaged - the front liner is not the easiest to repair, Good luck and hope the body shop does a great job.
I would pause for concern if anyone told me my car was repairable without even seeing it. I would get it fixed and immediately go shopping for different car insurance.
Glad to hear that no one was hurt. It looks worse than it probably is but as long as there isn't anny structural damage, and I wouldn't think so from the picture, then good luck with the repairs. A Tiger Shark front fascia with an MCM CF hood would be a nice way to go. with Jack that the whel well liner may be damaged.
I'm not an insurance person but I have to admit, that is fixable without looking at it. All cosmetic replacement from what I can see. Obviously you'll need all new parts on the items damaged. Your looking at $7,000 when its all said and done, plus or minus a few hundred. There is now a replacement front bumper thats cheaper than an OEM but supposed to be just as good that the insurance company will probably want to use. I don't know if its just as good or not.

The problem is, his insurance adjuster came to this conclusion without the benefit of looking at a picture. Carnac the Magnificent woud be proud........
There's probably a lot more damage going on there than meets the eye. Headlight Assembly, door cover, hood, fender, front bumper are all the obvious major points. What I'd be most concern with is the inner fender directly below and behind where the hood was peeled back. That's BONDED to the car, and a lot more intensive to repair or replace. If that's all cracked up, that's going to get expensive to fix quickly. By what I'm seeing on the decals that reside directly to the vehicle left of the washer tank, it's damaged.

I looked at the area you pointed out and I can see that it definitely has been bent down towards the wheel. There are some areas where there are cracks also.

This is a good point about the replacement parts. I'll have to find out what my insurance company's policy is on that.
