Are there issues with the LS7 lifters? The car just turned 60k miles, and I was quoted only $200 more to pull the heads to do the lifters since he said it would make changing the springs easier anyway, and I'm also doing ARP head bolts. I wasn't getting them thinking they were an "upgrade" but more as "while you are in there" maintenance.
Yeah, pretty much the reason I'm doing them right here. I don't plan on going beyond cam-only I just wanted to do as much preventative maintenance as I could with the cam install. (One and done, you know? I already bought all the parts.)
The LS7 suffer from the same issues that the rest of them do, they eventually rotate and wipe out a lobe or the wheel fails. People report many failures with LS7 lifters like increased noise. look on yellow bullet or LS1tech
Need someone to do the install Excelerate Corvettes in Tomball TX. I don't have the number ,they are the real deal if just need a tune they can fix you up with that also ,I have been looking for a real no BS Corvette shop in the Houston area and this is the one they are just down to earth good people and can trust them witch is hard to find these days.. Need any info on the install just PM I did mine came out great .. Good luck..
