Default Car cover advice

I have an 03 that is parked under a carport in the Summer. The sides are open and it gets covered with dust in just a short time.

I need a reasonably priced cover to just keep dust from the car. Cover will not be exposed to weather or sun. I have a plastic cover now but it is hard to use - hard for one person to get on and off quickly so it doesn't get used except in the Winter. I would like something that seals out the dust well and is light and easy to install, store and remove.

What say you??

Thanks

Sears or KMart have covers that work well for $30 when they are not on sale, $23 when they are on sale, mine is four years old. No fancy custom fit mirror pockets but then again they are not $200 and get the job done. (don't tell our vendors about these)

I've used one of these for over 3 yrs on my 2002 coupe that also sits on a carport and it fits very well and is easy on/off.

I feel your pain....but car cover and dusty environment usually equals more swirl marks (from applying and removing the cover) than if you left it uncovered and rinsed it off before and after trips.
Buuuuuut.

I did have a Wolf cover (yes with the pockets....for when I went on vacation down at the shore) that was pretty easy to put on and off.

The trick is how you take it off.

Take off each corner and fold it lengthwise (while still on the car) towards the centerline. Then roll up the back until its on the roof.....roll up the front until its on the roof....lift off.

When you get back.....sit it on the roof and unroll.....easy peasey......a lot less sliding.

Mine was black so.......all the precaution. If you have yellow, silver,white.....dont even think about it.....its gonna look great whatever you do.

Good luck

Thanks for the reply. My C5 is black and attracts every molecule of dust within 100 yards. I also have some cat traffic that I can't stop short of using my shotgun. The bas**rds will not stop walking/sleeping on the car. I have to clean the car more than drive it.

Your method sounds like a good plan for installing removing a cover.

I hoping to find a very light weight cover that is something like a cotton fabric that is very easy to toss on and off.

I bought this cover shortly after buying my C5 and love it. Fits and looks great. I bought it when it was on sale though.

OMG....LOL you're doomed.
Black is not a color....its a religion

There are a ton of very light covers out there, mostly made for indoor use. Not sure how the seasons differ down there.

Oh well, you'll sort it out. The other benefit is that the car will be cooler covered (even under the car port)...the wolf cover was light grey (almost white) and I did notice that.
