Another "Anyone know this car?"

I'm interested in this Z06, the owner has been a little difficult to communicate with, but the car looks like a great deal for the money! He can't talk on the phone supposedly because of bad cell phone service. Here's the car:

That's a real good looking Z, wonder what the gauge pillar is for.........hopefully someone chimes in for you that knows about the car.
