I'm addicted. I find myself sifting through the classifieds and buying things I have no immediate need. I am reading every post in the general and tech boards looking for the best, newest, neatest, tweaks to do to my car that I have no time or money to perform. I have thousands of dollars in parts in my garage now and I just bought more mod red stuff that duplicates stuff I already have. I may have to buy another car to use up some of the stuff I have accumulated.

On top of all that I have a set of CCW 505a's that need polishing and while gleaning through craigslist I stumbled across a 2014 Caprice PPV with under 60k miles that is calling my name. It's a curse I tell ya'

John, I know how you feel. I have a lot of spare parts for my car sitting in the basement. Many are the stock parts that I took off the car when I did my mods, but some are just duplicates just in case something gets damaged.

I found myself in that same situation, except with AR15s. It seems when you accumulate so many parts, you end up with a need to assemble another, then another and another. At one time I had 12 AR15s in various configurations.

If I had the garage space, I would buy a spare C5 just for parts - cheaper than buying all the parts separately if keeping the car possibly.

In my garage I have 4 corvette exhaust systems and one Caprice/Impala system, 7 or 8 sets of wheels and tires, 4 or 5 air intake systems, 2 transmissions, 4 flywheels, 5 clutches, one rear axle, a couple of stereos, 3 extra Corvette tops, 3 car covers, 5 or 6 license plate fillers, a bunch of shifter *****, 2 shifters, a lot of small parts like climate control head units, window switches, etc. and that is just off the top of my head.

And I keep looking at cars and parts too.

I like your choice to consider the newer Caprice too. They seem to be a slightly smaller version of the Chevy SS and have a 6.0 motor. I've kind of been watching for a good deal on one of those too. A nice unmarked could turn into a really nice and unique car.

I guess I have the disease bad too.
