Seat restoration
So it's been about 10 years I've had my C5Z now and the driver's seat has gotten pretty uncomfortable. I see that you can buy seat foam,

I'm just wondering...for those out there who went this route,
1) Did the seat foam bring the seat "back to life"? Were you satisfied with the result?
2) Was installing the seat foam not to difficult or is it best left to a "professional"?
3) If anyone could recommend any foam and/or covers they used and were happy with the result, please chime in.
Thanks

I am happy with the results. I also added the seat rebuild kit to the bottom. It definitely was worth it to me. I purchased the seat rebuild kit from Southern Car Parts.
I purchased the seat foam from Corvette America.
Here is a link to the seat rebuild kit:

The rebuild kit is a little pricey, but I definitely think it made a big difference in the way the seat feels.
Good luck with your decision

I even went ahead and repaired my inflatable bolsters. The seats were as close to stock as possible.
I don't recommend it. Worst investment ever.
I thought I would do it to retain the factory parts on the car: Nice and original. However, given how terrible the seats feel compared to other vehicles, its not worth it. The seats genuinely suck, every car reviewer brings it up.
The car will never significantly increase in value, there's too many of them out there. Do what I did, dump the factory garbage and go straight for a nice aftermarket set. I'm rocking a pair of Corbeaus and I don't regret it. I feel like I'm piloting a jet fighter now. It is a sensation those terribad stock seats will never duplicate, and they're far more comfortable to boot.
