Believe it or not I can't seem to find out if my 2000 has fuel pumps/guage sender in "both" tanks. I have the famous fuel guage problem (goes to 0 randomly). One article said I have sender in left tank only. Othes say I need to drop both tanks. Can someone point me in the right direction please. (I've tried the easy fix of Techron but only works "sometimes)
TECHRON
use the black bottle, not the new cheaper grey bottle.
I use it 3 times a year...
Had the problem about 11 years ago.. Never an issue since.
Run the bigger bottle for about - 2 to 3 tanks in a row.
Your problem will probably be solved
I agree with the above. If you can change your tires, you have enough skill to replace the units if necessary. Depending on how fast you move, the job will take 2-4 hours. Try the other stuff first.
