Clean is synonymous with New, for many people.. I keep my car clean as new all the time. One of my pet focal points is the wheel wells, if the car looks good but the wheels wells look dirty, it looks dirty in my eyes. Clean is the answer to getting as many Kudos as I get daily.

My wheel wells with 100,000 miles ( not a garage queen).not afraid of the rain.

dirty after a rain

clean

Engine bay 17 years old 100,000 + miles, it's never seen harsh chemicals or a hose. I don't let it get dirty.

I like clean wells as well I just rarely get the opportunity to remove the wheels and scrub them down.

which simple green did you use?

I recently bought my first batch of simple green , the heavy duty "green" one, worked great

But today I just picked up the simple green HD PRO, which is apparently their strongest one and safe for aluminum

ON the wheels wells , this is all I use, no scrubbing involved.. spray it on everything, let it sit until the white foam dissolves and turns clear, taking with it any dirt and neutralizes the PH. it lays down a layer of silicone to keep road tar, rubber from sticking to the wheel well. I then just wipe it down with an old t-shirt.

AS far as under the hood, I Use an old t-shirt and some Zaino gloss enhancer, by hand. that's it, no harsh chemicals. I don't want to allow anything to turn acidic under the hood.

Even products that are friendly can cause petro products to turn acidic, even when the product is user friendly. Too many areas that can cause issues, Take the under hood grounds as a perfect example, look at all the corroded grounds that cause major problems, Just Ask my Friend, Bill Curlee about C5 grounds and their potential for corrosion.

I don't care what anyone uses, this is what I do.
