Did you use the stock sized hinson motor mounts or the lowered by 3/8" ones?

Stock. I know the lowered ones are recommended when running a FAST intake but with the LS3 I have no plans on adding a FAST.

I will be running the lowered ones in my ls3 swap. I have them in now with my ls1, I doubt that there will be any issues with running the lower ones, since the engines are basically the same dimensions, but I'll find out.

Starting on my swap on Nov 28th.

Just wanted to bump this thread to thank OP for all the great detail of parts required for the swap. I'm in the process of collecting parts for my own project and this thread has been a great resource.

Did you get bored of the car? Just curious.

Also, before you turbo'd the car, what intake setup were you running? Cartridge LS7 MAF?

No not bored. I'm building something else and can't keep them all. It was a great street car.

Before turbo I was using the factory Z06 MAF. Tuned just fine with HP Tuners.

Love my C5 with the LS3 but I too am thinking about selling it and going to the next project. In a little over a year - I have put less than 4K miles on it since the new dewitts rad,new mantic ER2 clutch and new crate motor swap. Such a fun, fast car.

What are you guys thinking about building next?

Were you running the stock Z06 MAF too? Think the stock LS1 MAF is too restrictive? (78mm)

You cant run the stock LS6 TB with a LS3 - You will need to source a LS2 Silver Blade TB .

I'm looking for a 996 Twin Turbo.

Yes, you do need the silver blade throttle body. The LS6 Z06 MAF works just fine with the LS3. Not sure why you stated it doesn't work.

Yup, I think he maybe made a typo. I am going to be using a silver blade LS2 GTO throttle body, LS3 intake manifold, and the Z06 MAF (thanks again for that Mike).

Gotta order the 3 pin to 5 pin MAF adapter tonight...

It opens in the opposite direction. Not compatible with your computer/TAC module. LS2 silver blade is compatible and is same dimension as LS3

Did you ever put it on the Dyno? Just curious what sort of number it did with the combo you selected.
