Wow! Truly a beautiful low mileage, well equipped vert being sold by the original owner and in a great color. Price is high, but he did say best offer. Very, very nice!

Yep, you can get a Z for < that but if that's the car you have been looking for (Vert, color, history) then what a find... Nice ride... Bet it sells.
Why are there so many of these cars available? The only thing I can think of is the huge appreciation of the early vettes and muscle cars has lead to so many of these low mileage c5s being "saved". The timing was right for many of the guys with the extra money for a non driver toy that remember the good old days.
Is the same thing happening with the c6? Seems like a trend (saving/storing) that will go away as these cars are not bringing more than the sticker price and will be many decades before they do.
Of course I only hang out here so these are the ones I hear about. Am I
I did not see Robs post, funny because in a way I think the car is too cheap, but the number available is keeping price down IMO.

I think there has been an upward price trend trend on good C5's since about 2008.
If you ask a younger cat what they think of them, they love them are buying them and joining this section of the forum daily.
It reminds me a bit of the trend back in the 1970's with the C-2. Anyone with a job could buy one. The early cars were produced in high numbers but became more rare over time. There is ware and tear, and cars find there way into a salvage yard eventually.
I see a future in the C-5 as it's price hit bottom a few years ago.

when you look at the cost of a new vette or any other car in it's class ??? (a lot of car still)
In the late 90's my college roommate an I decided to buy a beach condo at 901 Ocean Blvd Atlantic Beach Fl for $36,000 back when interest rates were high. His dad was a CPA and thought we were doing the most foolish thing in the world.
When the housing market started booming in that area I consulted the "CPA" and he doubted the property was worth any extra money.
We sold the property for $175,000 in the year 2000 and bought our own homes several miles off the beach.
My point is that value is based on public perception. Some things go up in value.
KBB says $18,792 with mileage and some of the options already included in that figure, yet he's adding an additional $ amount for some of those options....
