Fender air diffuser???
Hi there,
My passenger side diffuser ( not sure what to call it) that sits inside the outer front fender opening is flopping around from side to side. I'm sure it's a simple fix, but I would like to know if anyone else has done this repair. Can this be accessed by removing the inner fender rear inspection plastic cover? Anyone with pictures would also help. Thanks!!

I believe you're going to have to remove the fender.
Behind the fender on the passenger side is the PCM, it's mount bracketry, and wiring harness. It's mounted at an angle to "flush" itself against the space between the vent and the outer fender. I have NEVER understood why the PCM is mounted there considering the early battery leak issues but that's probably why I'm not a GM engineer. You won't be able to reach in too far behind the fender should you attempt to remove the inner liner.
The driver's side is much easier to deal with as nothing is mounted there.

Take the lower cover off of the rear front fender well and you have access to the piece you are talking about. It is held on by a couple of screws if I recall correctly. To get the lower panel off, be advised that there is one screw located on the inside of the frame rail behind the tire that is hard to see at first.
