I recently purchased a 00, and noticed that the climate control until remain on, all night. Any ideas?
In the photo, the front defrost is lit up.

Thanks,

Jim

Possible bad BCM. If control head back lighting stays on and or flickers at times with the key out of the ignition:

1. Use the scanner and check module status. There should be no modules listed unless one is awake. (if you don't have access to a scanner, go to #2)

2. Remove the White serial data wire, pin D12 from the control head and see if the light comes on or still flickers.

3. Pin check back probed at the HVAC module, there should only be voltage on the Orange wire.

4. If the light stops coming on when the data wire is removed, reconnect the wire.

5. Check for Body Control Module (BCM) codes.

6. Disconnect the BCM and see if the light stays off.

7. Check the BCM B+ with the key off, there should be no power supply to it.

Thanks. I will tackle this after I get the AC drain plug unclogged. Had to remove just about everything from the passenger side to dry things out. Blower and motor appear to be OK, other than being dirty and covered with surface oxidation.

Cheers

hmmmmmmmmm. passenger side got wet? Are we talking in the passenger foot wel? If so you do know that BCM computer is right behind the floor board. If it is wet in that area there is a good chance the BCM got wet and that is causing your problem.
