So recently my 98 'Vette started leaking on the entire underside of the body. At first it began on the passenger side, and slowly moved all around the edges. I was very confused as to how this could happen and did some research. Turns out, my floor carpets were soaked in coolant (don't ask me how I know how ). Anyways, I'm 99% sure it's the heater core leakage but if anyone has any other ideas, I'm open to suggestions.
Also, when/if replacing the Heater Core, what company did you purchase your new unit from?
Was it relatively simple/pretty hard?
Should I take it to the shop instead of doing it myself?
Yes it sounds like a heater core, do you smell coolant (sweet sticky smell) or see on windshield a fogging when turning on heater? If so it is the heater core. As far as how easy or hard google C5 heater core replacement...google knows everything. Good luck.

Thanks for the help. It's a sweet sticky... taste. I wanted to be sure so I soaked it up and tasted it and sure enough.. (don't judge me). Thanks again!
