Local vette club organized a cruise last weekend in WNY. 150 cars registered, 140 showed up despite the rain (which honestly surprised me). Took a few pics. Was a fun time driving through the southern portion of WNY in a line of cars that long. Event was well organized - roads were blocked for us so we could all stick together. Even made a giant u-turn in a park to let everyone waive at each other - which, goofy as it sounds was actually kinda cool. Some locals looked annoyed at sitting at stop lights and signs for probably 10-15 min while we passed, others were out waiving and taking video. A few pics from the event are attached. First is of my rear view. Gotta make sure you take a selfie in the vette before you leave (not me, presumably what the woman in the photo was doing)!
Wife and I met some really nice folks, and definitely can't wait for the event again next year.
Now that looked like fun, wish someone do something down South here to bring all the clubs together for cruise.
Back in 1998 West Coast dealership sponsored cruise which everyone meant in Park in Naples Florida. They caravan from all over to arrive for Hot Dog lunch, over 500 Hot Dogs were cooked, I should know I cooked them
It sure looked like fun.... Weather don't shop true Corvette people.
Our reg was 40 for the drive, 30 for the passenger (so 70 for me total), got us the organization of it, breakfast from subway, lunch at a buffet place w/a cash bar, plus donated door prices and goodie bags. Also the driver got a tshirt. Well worth the money. I think Buffalo, Rochester, and WNY corvette clubs were represented at the event.
Nice to see another local on the boards! I did that cruise probably 8 years ago and it was way too slow, but fun enough to do once. Glad you enjoyed it though!

You should give it another shot. I had it up to 60ish I think quite a bit on a lot of those roads. Most I think were 55 unless it was through a town. We were all moving pretty fast, unless we were in a town then we slowed it down. Hell I had to hit the pedal out of the dealership pretty hard just to catch up to everyone. Seemed the whole cruise was looking to drive a bit fast leaving the dealership. Ignoring signals and stop signs when the roads were blocked for us was kinda cool too...not too often you get to do that.
