Default 2016 Official St. Jude Check presentation - *JOIN US*

With 5 weeks remaining and over $68,000, raised thus far, Jesse and I want to invite you to join us along with many other fellow Corvette Forum members, Corvette Clubs, Dr.'s and staff, and the wonderful children and their families at St. Jude Research Hospital in Memphis TN. on Monday, October 10th. (Columbus Day), for the 14th. annual official check presentation

Here is the tentative itinerary for the day - the times may change based on input from the Hospital.

10:00 - 11:15 AM: Group assembles at the Hooters of Wolfchase parking lot (2838 New Brunswick Rd). Hooters has agreed to serve limited drinks prior to our departure to St. Jude. They will have some of their servers there for photo's with your Corvette. T-shirts and hats will be passed out at this time.

11:15 AM: Caravan departs to the Harbor Town/Mud Island parking lot at the dead end of A.W. Willis Ave. to join other Corvettes already assembled. Members of Corvette Memphis will lead the caravan to get us there. Memphis PD Motor unit will stop traffic as we make our way to the highway. T-shirts and hats will be passed out to the group of attendees once at Mud Island.
12:00 PM: Initial 7+ Corvettes depart for St Jude to be placed behind and/or, in front of the pylons.

12:15 PM: Remaining Corvettes will depart for St Jude with a police escort provided by the Memphis Police Department, enter the gates, and be assigned parking. I have requested that the remaining Corvettes park from the gift shop around to the entrance as we have done in the past. Overflow will be directed into parking areas as to not obstruct the flow of normal hospital vehicular traffic.

12:30 - 1:30 PM: Children, visitors, and staff will view and enjoy the Corvettes. The children can sit in the Corvettes, blow the horns and listen to the owners rev the engines. (Lunch is available at 1:00 PM)

1:30 - 2:30 PM: Welcome Program. ALSAC member Kiamesha Wilson will open the event and introduce a representative from the hospital. The representative will introduce Jesse and I for comments. Once completed, Jesse and I will make the official check presentation to the hospital.

2:35 - 3:00 PM: Group photo

3:00 PM: Hospital tours, shopping in the gift stores, etc.

From the first presentation in 2003, attendees have come to Memphis a few days earlier to spend time visiting many attractions in the area such as, Beale Street, Sun Studio, Graceland, Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Memphis Zoo, FedEx Forum, beer tasting and tours and to enjoy some great food at Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken, The Rendezvous, Corky's BBQ and much more.

We hope you can join us, seeing these children smile and enjoying the Corvettes is an experience you will never forget

Thanks again to all our members and vendors for making this fundraiser such a successful event for the past 14 years raising over $1,000,000 in finding cures and saving children
