Default Corsa extreme with headers

Can anybody give me first hand info on corsa extremes and headers on a c5? Can anybody post a sound clip for me? I'm looking for the extra punch that headers ans a tune will afford me. I have the extremes on the car and love the fact that there is absolutely zero drone. My concern is that longtubes will change that. Additionally i like loud but don't want to make myself deaf inside the car either. The guy i spoke with at corsa awhile back said that headers with extremes "will make the car FANTASTICALLY LOUD and every cop around will be able to hear where i am at". Are they seriously that loud? I'm sure they will really wail under WOT but that's how a vette should sound. How about normal driving and highway cruising? Also the car is registered classic so i don't get emmissions therefore i can run catted or catless. Any insight i can get from you guys is appreciated

I run LG longtubes, high flow cats, X-pipe and Corsa Extremes with 4'' quad tips.
Loud when you mash on the fun pedal but absolutely no drone in the car at any throttle range.
One of the best mods I have done thus far. Sorry, no video.

My car was just plain loud with a Quadapower catback, after installing headers it was much more mellow until I stand on it, then it's just plain wicked. Headers will give your car more of a tuned sound which in my opinion is much nicer !!!!!!!! good luck to you !!!!!!!!

yes they are very loud when going wot but cruising they are really not that loud... corsa does a great job of keeping the noise outside of the cabin as well... I wish I had some videos, I need to use my gopro more often

I have cam, American Racing long tubes, offroad x pipe with cat delete, and Corsa Xtreme catback and boy was it loud...LOUD! No drone tho lol...

Had to put a custom stainless resonator in the mix to tame it to pretty loud, certainly above average loud but not so obnoxious. It was open header loud prior to that.

Idle is loud, cruising is pretty quiet, acceleration is very loud...zero drone.

Off road X-pipe and cat delete is what made yours so bad.

Nice cars guys! Thanks for the replies so far. I do like LOUD just not DRONE. It sounds like I should be in good shape with long tubes but it sounds like I should do high flow cats just so it doesn't sound obnoxious....

So Im looking at texas speeds headers on their website and its an additional 200 bucks for the cats vs the off road pipe..... If it was you would you still get the cats? The above comments of open headers has me worried HA! I like loud but that may be a bit much, and Im worried about smelling like I was riding the lawn mower, but was told by some that our cars dont stink too bad once warmed up

I had the extremes and loved them but when I put in a cammed 383with a sc and headers no cats, it was way too loud for me. The extremes on stock motor was great but once I modded I had to change to the Ti, just too much noise and quite a bit of drone. Good luck

Awwww Thanks This forum has been my inspiration. I've imported nigh on 40+ shipments from the USA to get it to to where it is..So much harder modding a C5 here for sure.

i guess ultimately I should try and find someone here in central PA that has the extremes and headers and see what the thing sounds like first hand. Its so hard to judge through computer speakers.
