So I was at Pick n Pull the other day looking for cross-compatible parts for our Vette.
I noticed some Grand Prix cars had cargo nets in the trunk.
I bought one, brought it home, and it fits the C5 Corvette.
Only caveat is the one I got is a dark grey as opposed to the black one we already had.
But I spent a few bucks on it ($4 I think) and if anyone is looking for one it will do in a pinch if you don't mind going to the wreckers and poking around.
The Grand Prix I saw them in were the 1997-2000 models. Every one I looked at had one. They also have those screw in hooks the cargo net latches on to if you are missing some.
I didn't realize how hard some parts are to find for this car so I am trying parts from other cars to see if they will work. OEM DRL sockets (from Cavaliers etc) and a manual HVAC control (from a Chev Impala) are next!
My 2001 coupe also only has the two hooks. I never use it because it's not very practical with only half the attachments. I guess I will have to pull the panel to see where a couple more can go.
