[Z06] DIC-Low Oil Level???

DIC-Low Oil Level???
I got this message on the DIC today. Did anybody else experience this? Its been 1200 miles since I put 7 quarts of oil in. How low is LOW OIL LEVEL? I changed the oil at 1k and 4k and I am currently at 5.2K. Any help is appreciated. I dont wussy-foot around in it so that could be part of the problem :yesnod: Still an awesome car though.

Double check the dip stick after adding 1 quart of Mobile One 5/30 but that should bring you back up to par. Oh, and stop driving that hard and you won't burn so much oil.;)

Haven't seen a DIC reading, but have around 6,500 miles on the ZO6 and changed oil at 1K and 4K also.....had to put in 1 quart of oil after 1500 miles each time...... from my previous cars...Honda never had to add ever.....300Z never either......but these cars are half what the ZO6 is about....... :) then again, it was a weekly thing for my first car the Vega....must be a GM thing! :confused:

My observations:
Change oil (6.5 quarts total - including filter), drive 1400 highway miles, no problem. Drive 200 miles like I stole it, including much over 100mph cruising in appropriate area and a couple dyno pulls; low oil warning.
Added one quart. Have since driven 1400 highway miles at 80-85 mph and about 600 hard and heavy miles, including a few 1/4 mile runs and one blast to 160 mph; no additional oil usage and DIC is showing 71% oil life left... Car has 9000 miles and I changed the oil at 1000 and around 5000 miles. :confused: 1 quart every few thousand miles is no big deal for 400+ hp supercar IMHO. :cheers:

1 quart every few thousand miles is no big deal for 400+ hp supercar IMHO. :cheers:
I find I need to add a qt every 1-2K after an oil change.
