I believe I read on here(ET?) that a well heated engine in the spring will steam off any condensation from the winter...

I read something 'once upon a time' about condensation and some other stuff that I can't remember. Two oil changes a year is pretty cheap insurance though.

As I said, with todays technologies it may not be necessary but....

I guess some of you didn't read my post #14 where I explained why some think oil change is so critical, but not so much with modern engines and oil !!!! I will repeat, oil never loses it's ability to lubricate it just get's contaminated !!!!!!!

I'll take that as an unwarranted shot to me. I didn't see where anyone ever named you chief engineer of Chevy so I'll continue my practices.

I don't care what anyone does with their cars, if a OP ask or wants an opinion I will give mine, because most of you know I am very opinionated. Don't cheap out; even if you don't drive enough to warrant it, do it twice a year.

My area has mild winters, no salt, year round driving. Changes at least yearly, or no more than about 4k miles w/mobile 1. Take care!

It does not matter if it sits with new or old oil after all when you change the oil it is not like you can get it all out any way. Change it when it is convenient for you and enjoy life.
