Default new to us wheels

We normally run Bogarts in our quest this fall to run 10s NA (cam only) and 9s on nitrous.

However, I get a little nervous with those light wheels and no tread as we do drive the car too. In fact, we're getting ready to take a long road trip with the local Corvette club to Arkansas to visit a national forest and spend all weekend driving. So ... we picked up some Z06 wheels and painted them graphite using DupliColor wheel paint and mounted some inexpensive Kuhmo tires. I wasn't sure about the look of the shorter tires but they're growing on me.

We took advantage of a beautiful cooler day yesterday here in East Texas and went for a Sunday drive through the country. Car rode nicely, everything seemed to be ok.

Yes, I found a set of 4 17" for next to nothing so I couldn't pass them up. I wanted a taller tire but couldn't find something in 17" diameter with 245 and 275 width respectively. I do like too how the Bogarts fill up the fender well better but I can't drive them on the street.

The Z06 wheels in that color goes very well with the exterior color of the car. And IMO, they are an excellent wheel design. Have a safe and fun trip to AR.

And this is why I still want argent silver Z06 wheels on my car, damn those wheels are sexy and they are OE. Mine is lowered slightly so I would have less gap, but those wheels just look right.

I had C5Z wheels on my C4.
