Default Tonawanda engine plant

Friend and former Tonawanda engine plant employee arranged a tour of the plant today. Saw a lot of engines and lots of robots. Very clean environment for the LT1 engines. We were not allowed to take pictures but they gave us a goodie bag. The 4 who brought Vettes got something extra

Total engines produced since 1938 – 70,967,249.

I had a few of those Tonawanda decals under my hood back in the day!

Are tours available to the general public? I'd like to take one, if possible, and I live only about an hour, or so, away.....

I remember my '70 454 Corvette engine had the Tonawanda stickers on the valve covers.

I did read that Corvette engine production will be moving from Tonawanda to Bowling Green. Guess that's to save transportation costs and shipping time?
