I guess the sealant isn't ever necessary if you have plugs.
I guess they made the Z06 without TPMS and including sealant because it was easier for some customers.

This is what I got at Auto Zone for $ 45 bucks, plus I carry a small jack, a collapsible tire wrench I got at Harbor Freight and couple of small pieces of 2x4's. Never leave behind my AAA card of course. Good luck with your trip.

The new Slime kits are compatible with TPMS.

The Z06 came without runflats because performance. There isn't a good performing runflat. Trade off. But I think they came with TPMS, or at least I thought they did.

I got a scissor jack from WallyWorld that fit the bill nicely. Wasn't expensive, low enough to get under almost any vehicle and can raise the vehicle enough to remove or repair the tire. Rest of my kit was a decent name brand 12v compressor (ViAir), plug kit, tool kit, something to lay on and a foldable 4 way lug wrench. Of course, since I spent all this $$ on possible needs, I've never had a tire problem, not even once.... sigh. I know for a fact though that if I remove even one item, something will happen and I will not be a happy camper. They will stay there until spider webs grow on em.

If you bought the "Black Jack" screw scissor jack from Wally World, those work incredibly well. I have 8 of them, 4 for the race trailer and 4 for the shop. I use a rechargeable drill with a socket to fit the end and can get all 4 tires off the ground in less than 5 minutes if I take my time. I found that the folding screw handle that comes with the scissor jack is a PIA so a socket on either a ratchet or drill works so much better for me.

I haven't had the best luck with the folding 4 way lug wrenches. I've had great luck with this expandable handle 1/2" ratchet that works great on the lug nuts and also works great on the scissor jack. You just need a socket to fit your lug nuts and one to fit the end of the scissor jack. For really deep dish wheels, you may need a 2" to 6" extension to protect your knuckles from the sidewall.

Your kit looks just about as good as you can get it....and of course, when you carry all the emergency gear you never get a flat!!

After 2008 no car can be without TPMS from the factory so while our C5 z06 may not have it, all but 2 years of the C6 must have it.

It is my understanding that "slime" play havoc on the TPM sensor. Am I correct, or am I thinking of something else - not the slime in the kit you referenced getting from Amazon? Thank you in advance.

Do you by chance have a link for this scissor jack you mentioned? Thanks!

Really??? And how exactly are YOUR posts adding to the conversation? Chill dude. Its not that big of a deal to be flaming people over something so ridiculously trivial. He qualified his comment, so what more do you want, a formal apology? Get real.

It's small, lightweight, capable of lifting 1 ton (more than enough capacity) and inexpensive.

Oh wait, I see you wanted a link. Ok, here it is (so you don't have to do your own search): https://www.walmart.com/ip/Buffalo-T...-Jack/19240175

You're welcome!
While I appreciate your effort in trying to make up for your ill manners, my question was directed to CactusCat, and perhaps to TrackAire who named the jacks they got "Black Jack" screw scissor jack, NOT Black Bull.

I have searched Walmart, and they have a number of similar jacks, and I would like to make sure I'm getting the same one they are raving about.

But again, I do appreciate the help.

Furthermore, I believe TrackAire was incorrect to call it "Black Jack" instead of Black Bull, but I'll leave it to him to acknowledge it or not. BTW there's nothing else on the walmart.com website when searching for "scissor jack" that comes even close to "Black Jack" other than Black Bull. But if you come across something that I missed, by all means tell us about it. Maybe we can all learn something from your efforts.
I can't vouch for every Walmart across the country, but in NorCal, the jacks are made by a Chinese company called "Torin" and sold under the label "Torin Black Jack".
Here is the exact jack that I purchase, around $25.00 each:
http://i5.walmartimages.ca/images/La...44/1280044.jpg

They also make similar looking jacks with a smaller base, I've not seen one in person but this one is also labeled "Black Jack" on Walmart's site:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/14560046?...&wl13=&veh=sem

They sell jack stands, floor jacks and bottle jacks under the same label at Walmart:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Torin-Jac...ingMethod=p13n

Again, not sure this is nation wide, but every Wally world here has stacks of the entire line.

To be honest, I don't really remember which one I got, but I do remember it was like $17-18 tops. Pretty much all of them work the same way, so I doubt you'd go wrong with any of them. My only prerequisite was that it was low enough to get under the car's jacking points. Hope that helps.
