I am going to change the exhaust on my 04 A4 soon... I now have the Z06 Ti with a Magnaflow X pipe. Looking for opinions on Corsa Sport, B&B PRT, B&B Route 66, Magnaflow and Borla S type II. I'm looking for opinions about the sound and in cabin drone. I know that sound is an individual preference and I have heard most of the systems and have narrowed the choice down to these. My biggest concern is drone. I had a C4 a couple of years ago and had one of the above systems on it. The drone was so terrible I couldn't wait to get rid of the car! Price doesn't matter because they are all expensive. Just sound and drone!
TIA
I don't dislike the sound of the Ti it just needs to be a little more aggresive! If I get another system I will most likely sell the Ti to help offset the cost.

Reason: Answering question. Adding info.
Just finished putting the Corsa Sport on my 02 C5 along with ARH headers, x pipe and cats. The sound is great. No drone at all. My wife thinks the car sounds angry. I love it.

I have the Corsa Indy Pace Car (now called the Sport) on mine and love it. No drone at all, great quality and sounds so much better than a stock exhaust.
I had a B&B Route 66 catback system on my previous '00 coupe. While it looked great, the sound was not that much different than stock and at least in my case, the exhaust had a tremendous amount of drone and popping which was cured only after the added expense of putting an X-pipe on the car. After doing that, I did like the system though.
Some day I hope to get a Corsa system. I will likely have a shop do the bypass on my current titanium setup and *** an x-pipe with headers before I change out the cans. The titanium cans are damn nice.
My 1999 came with a Borla catback. Not sure what model but I don't like the sound. It gurggles, pops, backfires, lol. At times it sounds like a tractor. But the tips are nice.
I can't be certain if that is just the Borla or the nature of a catback, though. I just wish it didn't pop as much. One thing I do like is when you get on it, it sounds pretty damn good.
I had Borla S-type Classic (140039) on my '99 FRC with a Corsa x-pipe. It was quite a bit louder than stock. It also droned a little at highway cruise speeds. Although I didn't mind it, my wife thought it was too much. The Borla tips also look great.
I have a B&B Route 66 on my '99 with LG longtube pro headers and off road x-pipe. With the headers this definitely sounds non stock and a little louder. I do not have much drone at highway speed. After a 1700 mile trip my wife commented that it is not like most of my other cars and she could talk or listen to the radio without the drone. We like it.

A lot of that popping and backfiring is from unspent fuel. A tune would likely take care of most of it.
Our Street Axleback will sound great, especially with your existing X pipe! It gives you a nice deep growl, and has the perfect volume for daily use so you dont have to worry about excessive cabin noise or bothering neighbors.
